The Amelio Lab is a cancer cell biology lab focused on discovering the molecular mechanisms that drive tumor development and progression. We innovate and apply biologic light-based technologies to understand how spatial and temporal control of cell signaling and gene expression influence cell fate, and how perturbations lead to cancer. We are part of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are affiliated with the Cancer Biology and Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy majors of the Moffitt Cancer Biology PhD Graduate Program.
